Is $1,000 falling from the heavens a blessing or a curse?
When I think of the trouble I might have gotten into as a freshmen after winning RateHub.ca’s Student Budget Refresh Contest – well, I get a bit of a smile on my face and a shiver down my spine! Whether you use the thousand bucks for good or… not-quite-noble pursuits is up to you. Maybe the best of both worlds?
The way to get your name in the hat is to head on over to RateHub and check out what ScotiaBank’s SCENE or L’EARN credit cards have to offer. Here’s a quick look at why these two cards are at the top of our list when it comes to student reward options – with a $0 annual fee of course.

Our prerequisite for any student credit card that we recommend is that it have no annual fee – students pay enough as it is. Both of these card option meet that standard and give you some great rewards as well – just for using the card to pay for things you’d buy anyway.
As always, remember that using your credit card to build a credit rating and cash in on cool rewards only works if you pay your balance off monthly. ALWAYS, make the minimum required payment, and do your best not to put anything on your credit card that you can’t afford to pay off at the end of the month.
See you at the movies! (If you win the Grand Prize we’re definitely game to help you celebrate!)
