Graduate With an Honorary Degree In Cash

Graduating university is all about positioning yourself to make more money, and although it does take a considerable of money to attend, that’s no reason to waste money.  Save money wherever you can and do your best to graduate with honors… and some money. It’s reasonably easy to estimate the set costs for much of your higher education.  Tuition, dormitory costs, and even books are fairly reasonable to predict.  You can even budget for groceries, clothing, and entertainment with relative simplicity.  Especially if you use our one-of-a-kind student calculator that allows you to get on with the stuff you really want to be doing a little faster.

What can cause problems is the expenses that are a little outside your realm of planning.  For example, even if you have meticulous information about utility costs at home, it can be drastically different where you attend university, particularly if it’s in a different province or out of the country.  One other thing that can throw off a budget is one-time costs such as a computer or home furnishings.

How to Eat Healthy in College

Have you noticed that since you began university life, you don’t have quite as much energy as you’d like? Or perhaps, you’ve noticed that you’ve gained a few pounds since you started? You might be attributing that to the more hectic pace of life that you’re now living, but it probably has at least something to do with the way your eating. It can be very difficult to eat healthy in college.

It probably will not be possible to change perpetual on-the-go eating habits that university life brings, to a completely healthy diet, but here are a few steps that can at least turn it in the right direction.

Go easy on fast food and junk food

Fast food and junk food seem to be an integral part of university life, and there are at least three compelling reasons why this is true:

  1. Fast food and junk food are quick – they’re the closest thing to food on demand.
  2. Fast food and junk food are easy – they usually involve little or no preparation on your part.
  3. Fast food and junk food are easy on the budget – they generally cost less than eating healthier food and meals.

How to Eat Healthy in College There is a fourth reason that most of us are hesitant to admit to, and maybe it’s even a little bit politically incorrect to do so: fast food and junk food actually taste pretty good! (Shhhhh – you didn’t read that here!)

But all of those advantages aside, junk food and fast food are not at all healthy. This is especially true if they become the mainstays of your diet. University life probably does not allow for a complete cut off of these foods, so the best you can hope to do is to minimize them – and minimize them you should. Continue Reading →
